Upcoming events and activities
Mulberry Centre Day of the Dead Saturday 17 November 10am-12.30pm: Mulberry Centre Celebrate Dia de los muertos with this free bread-making workshop and arts and crafts for children aged four and under and their families. There will also be be free drinks and fruit. Dia de los Muertos is a joyful festival, which focuses on the afterlife, not as something scary but as a time filled with remembrance and love. |
Mulberry Centre family fun and games Saturday 21st July 10am to 12.30pm Parent or carer of little ones aged four and under? You're welcome to our free session at the Mulberry Centre which will include a bouncy castle, crafts and the chance to cook and eat with your child and other parents. In July we'll be making salad to eat with Jollof rice. Free refreshments and a relaxing session for all the family. Please note: this event takes place at the Mulberry Centre, 12a |
LEAP into Minet Library
Tuesday 7th August: 10.30am-12.30pm: Minet Library We'll be at this wriggle and rhyme at the library, with free crafts and refreshments for babies and toddlers aged 4 and under, alongside the usual weekly song and story session. Let us know what activities you'd like for kids in the area and discover what's currently on offer at the library. Please note: this event takes place at Minet Library, 52 Knatchbull Road SE5 9QY, not at the park. |
Christingle
Sunday 16 December: 10am - 5pm: Around the bandstand Don't miss our annual community Christmas event! Myatt's Fields Market will be open throughout with lots of festive products on offer including christmas cake, free-range turkeys, Kent-grown Christmas trees, Myatt's Fields hampers, beautiful presents and cards. Plus, there will be Christmas music on the bandstand, mince pies and mulled wine on sale to raise funds for MFPP, a Christingle making workshop and carol singing to round off the day. Free, and all welcome. |

Myatt's Fields Market
Sundays: 10am-2.30pm: Near the bandstand Our popular community market is on every week from 25 November. Run by an independent organiser, with support from MFPP, the market is offering plenty of festive produce, including free-range turkeys, Kent-grown Christmas trees, Myatt's Fields Hampers and hand-crafted gifts. Mondays, term-time: 10am - 11.30am: Meet in the wildlife area, next to the Little Cat Cafe An activity-based session for under 5s and their parents or carers that focuses on nature, gardening and conservation. Children are encouraged to get dirty, relax, play and learn in an outside environment. Sessions are led by local mum and forest school expert Marisa Bicknell. Stay and play
Monday, Thursday and Friday, term-time: 1pm - 3.30pm: The Mulberry Centre During term time the Mulberry Outdoor Preschool runs three drop-in Stay and Play sessions a week. Please note: Mondays and Fridays are for under 5s, Thursdays are for under 2s. The sessions are free of charge for parents and carers to attend with their little ones. There'll be games, crafts and activities available for all in this enclosed natural hub. We look forward to seeing you there! |
Friday Family Fun Every Friday, 10am-1pm: Myatt's Field North Centre Get together with other families in your community to cook, get fit, and enjoy fun activities. Free to families with children under 4. There'll be zumba with great local instructor, a chance to prepare and make delicious food, plus lots of crafts and play for the kids. Please note: this event takes place at Myatt's Field North Centre, 24 Crawshay Road, SW9 6FZ, not at the park. |
Gardening club
Every Friday: 9.30am - 12pm: Meet at the Park Depot A relaxed session working alongside our gardeners Taye and Marion to help carry our practical gardening and horticulture in the park and greenhouse. We meet at the Park Depot at 9.30am, if you're late or can't stay until 12pm, that's fine! You can normally find us in the park, just look out for the hi-viz. Greenhouse growers Sundays: 12-4pm: The Greenhouse Join our community gardener Fabrice for some volunteer work in the greenhouse. You'll be sowing seeds, planting vegetables. Learn new skills and support your park! No need to book, just pop in but email us if you have any questions on [email protected] |
